A rare children's book of insects, apparently from the same series of juvenile natural history works as the Dublin editions of titles now considered to have been produced for the Society for Promoting the Education of the Poor of Ireland. It features occasional verses, such as 'The Gnat'; 'The little Gnat, its beauties, may compare, With all its rival brothers of the air.', and 'On Cruelty to Insects'. COPAC records no copies of this.
